How Many?

Do you know how many dogs and cats are euthanized and in some cases gassed or shot? Some years it can go over 10 million, and these are just the statistics that are recorded by shelters. Chesed Rescue would like to remind everyone to spay/neuter their dogs and cats and always choose to adopt or rescue. There are 10 times the amount of dogs and cats than there are homes for them. Remember shelter dogs/cats need homes more than puppy stores or breeders need your money. Together we can decrease pet overpopulation.

Lana Update

Chesed is pleased to report that our stowaway from the freighter has been placed in a loving home. Lana, now "Foxy Brown" is loving life in a house with children and loving parents and two cats. She has a big yard to play and a happy life ahead.

The Name Game

Some dogs and cats find their way to Chesed as strays. They are given a name that our volunteers think suit his or her look or personality. But many folks who give our Chesed dogs and cats their forever homes decide to rename them.
